Privacy Policy
Who we are (data controller)
This website is operated by TORETO SRL, a Romanian company with registered office at Str. Sesului de Jos nr. 9, Gilău, jud. Cluj, 407310, România, tax identification number (CUI) 16223483, registered with the Trade Register under J12/909/2004. For any privacy question, write to office@toreto.eu or call +40 722 891 591. We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer, as we are not required to; enquiries go directly to management.
What we collect
Enquiry and sample-request forms: your name, job title, company, email, telephone, type of interest and anything you write in the message box. Savings calculator: the figures you enter about your own operation, plus your name, company and email if you ask us to send the result. AI consultant: the text of your conversation. Server logs: IP address, browser and pages requested, kept automatically by our hosting for security. Cookies: see the Cookie Policy below.
Why we process it, and on what lawful basis
To answer your enquiry, send samples and prepare quotes — necessary to take steps at your request prior to a contract (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)). To run and secure the website, prevent abuse and keep server logs — our legitimate interest in a working, safe site (art. 6(1)(f)). For analytics and any marketing communication — only with your consent (art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time. We do not make automated decisions with legal effects about you, and we do not profile you.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. It is handled on our behalf by: Hetzner Online GmbH (Germany) — hosting; our mail provider — delivery of enquiry emails; OpenAI, L.L.C. (United States) — the AI consultant, which receives the text you type into the chat. Each acts under a data-processing agreement and only on our instructions. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
Transfers outside the EEA
Hosting and email stay within the European Economic Area. The AI consultant sends your chat messages to OpenAI in the United States, under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Please do not enter confidential or personal information into the chat — use the contact form for anything sensitive.
How long we keep it
Enquiries, sample requests and quotes: 3 years from our last contact with you, so we can follow up and evidence what was agreed. Calculator submissions: 2 years. AI-consultant conversations: 90 days. Server logs: up to 12 months. Consent records: 3 years from withdrawal. Where a contract or an accounting obligation applies, Romanian law may require longer, and we keep only what that requires.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to erase it, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where processing rests on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time without affecting what was done before. Write to office@toreto.eu; we answer within one month. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Romanian supervisory authority, ANSPDCP — B-dul G-ral. Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Access to enquiry data is limited to the Toreto staff who need it to reply to you. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect what you send us.
Children
This is a business-to-business site. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and the date at the top of it. Material changes affecting you will be communicated directly where we hold your contact details.

What this site is for
It presents Toreto's stretch films, paper packaging and wrapping machinery, and lets you request samples, quotes and advice. It is aimed at businesses, not consumers buying for personal use.
Product information and specifications
We describe our products as accurately as we can, but figures shown on the site — micron ranges, savings percentages, case-study results — are indicative and depend on your load, machine and process. Anything marked as provisional or to be confirmed is exactly that. Nothing on this site is a binding offer or a guarantee of performance: the specification that binds us is the one written into your quotation or order confirmation.
Samples, quotes and orders
Sample and quote requests are invitations to discuss, not contracts. We may decline or limit them. Prices, lead times and availability are confirmed in writing per order, and a contract is formed only when we confirm your order.
The savings calculator
The calculator is an estimation tool. It works from figures you enter and from default assumptions that are labelled as illustrative. Its output is an indication for discussion, not a quotation, and we accept no liability for decisions taken on the basis of it alone. Ask us for a costed proposal based on your actual pallets.
The AI consultant
The chat assistant answers from published information about our products. It can be wrong or incomplete, it does not create any obligation for Toreto, and it is not engineering, legal or regulatory advice. For anything you intend to rely on, speak to our team — and please do not type confidential information into it.
Intellectual property
The Toreto name and logo, the product names (including Aerosconic, Supersonic, Hypersconic, SwiftWrap, Swiftpack, Envigour, Swift and Biosphere), the text, images and layout of this site belong to Toreto or its licensors. You may read, print and share pages for your own business purposes; you may not republish, resell or use them commercially without our written permission. Third-party names and datasheets remain the property of their owners.
Availability and links
We try to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change or withdraw content at any time. Links to other websites are provided for convenience and we are not responsible for their content.
Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise, and to the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss arising from reliance on indicative figures published on this site.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Romanian law, and the courts of Cluj, Romania have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the EU, you keep the protections of your local law and may use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. In Romania, the consumer protection authority is ANPC (anpc.ro).
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the version published here at the time you use the site is the one that applies. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
